Merdon, Feaga and Drown Endorse Flanagan in Howard County Council Race

September 17, 2010, Former Howard County Council members Chris Merdon, Charlie Feaga and Darrel Drown formally endorsed Bob Flanagan in his race for County Council last night.
Merdon stated, "Bob Flanagan has my full endorsement for County Council. I am confident he will serve District 1 well because of his excellent leadership abilities and his long service to Howard County during his 16 years in the House of Delegates." When talking about Flanagan, Merdon went on to say, “There's nobody who knows this county better then he does, there is nobody who knows this district better.”
Charlie Feaga stated "I'm here to publicly endorse Bob Flanagan. Humility has always been one of those attributes that I've liked a lot and noticed in people. He's not angry with people, he likes people, and he listens to people...always a smile. He will do a great job and we all need to get behind him.”
Darrel Drown was traveling but issued this statement, "I wholeheartedly endorse Bob Flanagan to be the next Councilmember to represent Ellicott City and Elkridge. As chair of the Howard County delegation to the House of Delegates, he worked hard to make government work for our citizens. He has sixteen year record as a proven fiscal conservative who will fight to defend against government excesses."
Merdon was elected to represent District 1 from 1998 – 2006. Drown represented District 1 from 1990-1998. Feaga represented District 5 from 1986-1998 and 2004-2006.
